नाहं प्रकाशः सर्वस्य योगमायासमावृतः । मूढोऽयं नाभिजानाति लोको मामजमव्ययम् ॥
nāhaṃ prakāśaḥ sarvasya yogamāyāsamāvṛtaḥ | mūḍho'yaṃ nābhijānāti loko māmajamavyayam ||
Translation
Veiled by my yoga-maya, I am not manifest to all. This deluded world does not know Me — the unborn and imperishable.
Interpretation
Yoga-maya is the Divine's own creative power — the same maya that creates the appearance of multiplicity within the one. Veiled by this power, the Divine is not visible to the ordinary eye (na prakashyah sarvasya). This is not a limitation of the Divine but a feature of the cosmic design: the Divine hides within its own creation, available to be found by those who seek with sufficient earnestness and purity. The deluded world (mudho ayam lokah) does not recognize the unborn, imperishable Divine in the midst of all appearances.
