Interpretation

The Gita's supreme verse — the carama shloka — the final, ultimate teaching: 'Abandoning ALL dharmas, take refuge in Me alone. I shall liberate you from all sins. Grieve not.' This is not an instruction to abandon ethics but to surrender the ego-investment in being the one who observes dharma. Beyond all frameworks, all systems, all paths — there is only the Divine and the soul's relationship to the Divine. When that relationship becomes total, absolute, without reservation — liberation is immediate. 'I shall liberate you' — not you will liberate yourself, not liberation will come — I shall do it. God's own promise.
