man-manā bhava mad-bhakto mad-yājī māṁ namaskuru mām evaiṣyasi satyaṁ te pratijāne priyo 'si me
Translation
Fix your mind on Me, be devoted to Me, worship Me, bow to Me — you shall come to Me alone; I truly promise you, for you are dear to Me.
Interpretation
The most personal verse of the entire Gita, and among the most beloved in all of scripture: four simple instructions — manmana bhava (let your mind be in Me), mad-bhakto (be My devotee), mad-yaji (worship Me), mam namaskuru (bow to Me) — followed by the most personal promise in the universe: 'You shall come to Me alone — this is true, I promise you — for you are dear to Me.' Krishna speaks as lover to beloved: 'I promise you.' The promise of God to the seeking soul. This verse is the Gita's living heart.
