Translation
Hear once more My supreme word, the most secret of all — because you are dearly beloved to Me, I shall speak for your benefit.
Interpretation
Having said 'do as you wish,' Krishna is not done. Love speaks again. 'Because you are firmly dear to Me' — dridham — with emphasis, with certainty — 'I will speak again for your benefit.' This is the teaching that comes from love rather than duty. The guru who has formally completed the teaching but whose love cannot be silent. What follows will be the Gita's most intimate disclosure. Every 'most secret' teaching seems to be followed by an even more secret one — because the heart of love is inexhaustible.
