इहैकस्थं जगत्कृत्स्नं पश्याद्य सचराचरम् । मम देहे गुडाकेश यच्चान्यद्द्रष्टुमिच्छसि ॥
ihaivasthaṃ jagatkṛtsnaṃ paśyādya sacarācaram | mama dehe guḍākeśa yaccānyadraṣṭumicchasi ||
Translation
Here today, behold the entire universe — moving and unmoving — gathered in one place in My body, O Gudakesha, and whatever else you wish to see.
Interpretation
The cosmic offer: the entire universe (jagat kritstnam — the whole universe), moving and unmoving (sa-characharam — with all moving and unmoving things), all in one place (ihaika-stham — standing here, in one location) — within the Divine's body. Whatever Arjuna wishes to see: the promise is unlimited. The Divine's body is about to be revealed as the container of all existence, the literal universe viewed from within. This is the Vishvarupa — the universal form.
