Translation
Sanjaya said: Having thus spoken to Arjuna, Vasudeva revealed His own form again. The Great Being, resuming His gentle form, comforted the frightened Arjuna.
Interpretation
The cosmic vision ends as it began — by the Divine's will and grace. Svakaṃ rupam darshayamasa (revealed His own form again) — the familiar, beloved Krishna-form returns. Saumya-vapur (gentle form — the pleasant, accessible, gentle human-like form). And the act of compassion: ashvasayamasa cha bhitam enam — 'comforted the frightened one.' The terrified Arjuna is comforted by the gentle form that returns. After the overwhelming encounter with infinity, the Divine comes back as the intimate friend. This is the complete arc of the Vishvarupa episode.
