यच्चावहासार्थमसत्कृतोऽसि विहारशय्यासनभोजनेषु । एकोऽथवाप्यच्युत तत्समक्षं तत्क्षामये त्वामहमप्रमेयम् ॥
yaccāvahāsārthamasatkṛto'si vihāraśayyāsanabhojanēṣu | eko'thavāpyacyuta tatsamakṣaṃ tatkṣāmaye tvāmaham aprameyam ||
Translation
And however I may have dishonored You in jest — while playing, resting, sitting, or eating — whether alone or before others, O Achyuta — I beg Your forgiveness for that, O Immeasurable One.
Interpretation
Arjuna's apology extends to all casual interactions: during play (vihara), rest (sayya), sitting together (asana), and meals (bhojana) — whether they were alone (eko) or in others' company (tat-samaksham). The word Achyuta (the infallible, the one who does not fall) takes on new weight after the Vishvarupa: Krishna who wrestled and joked and ate with Arjuna is the same infinite cosmic reality. Tat kshamaye tvam — I beg Your forgiveness for all of that. Aprameyam — O Immeasurable One. Arjuna's request for forgiveness is a complete surrender.
