10.28

आयुधानामहं वज्रं धेनूनामस्मि कामधुक् । प्रजनश्चास्मि कन्दर्पः सर्पाणामस्मि वासुकिः ॥

āyudhānāmahaṃ vajraṃ dhenūnāmasmi kāmadhuk | prajanaścāsmi kandarpaḥ sarpāṇāmasmi vāsukiḥ ||

Translation

Among weapons, I am the thunderbolt. Among cows, I am the wish-fulfilling cow (Kamadhenu). Among procreative powers, I am Kandarpa (Eros/the god of love). Among serpents, I am Vasuki.

Interpretation

The Divine's vibhutis continue. Among weapons, the thunderbolt (vajra) — the weapon of Indra, the most powerful of all weapons. Among cows, the Kamadhenu — the divine wish-fulfilling cow that satisfies all desires, representing abundance and the nurturing principle. Among procreative powers, Kandarpa (the god of love/desire) — the energy of creative attraction and generation. Among serpents, Vasuki — the great serpent who served as the rope for the churning of the cosmic ocean.
