Interpretation

The great souls' modes of worship: (1) satatam kirtayantah — constantly singing the glories of the Divine (kirtan, the practice of sacred praise); (2) yatantah dridhavratah — striving with firm vows (committed, unwavering practice); (3) namasyantah bhaktya — bowing down with genuine devotion (surrender of ego, worship through prostration of the self). All three are forms of the same essential act: the devotee continually turns toward the Divine with the complete being — voice, will, and body. The result: nitya-yukta (ever steadfast, perpetually connected).
