Bhagavad Gita
9.1

श्रीभगवानुवाच इदं तु ते गुह्यतमं प्रवक्ष्याम्यनसूयवे । ज्ञानं विज्ञानसहितं यज्ज्ञात्वा मोक्ष्यसेऽशुभात् ॥

śrī bhagavān uvāca idaṃ tu te guhyatamaṃ pravakṣyāmyanasūyave | jñānaṃ vijñānasahitaṃ yajjñātvā mokṣyase'śubhāt ||

Translation

The Blessed Lord said: To you who are not envious, I shall now reveal this most profound secret — knowledge combined with realization — knowing which, you shall be freed from inauspiciousness.

Interpretation

Chapter 9 opens with a special transmission. The teaching is guhyatamam — the deepest secret, the most profound. It is given anasuyave — to one who is not envious, not resentful, genuinely open. This is a quality check: an envious or cynical student cannot receive such a teaching; the heart must be unguarded. The promise: knowing this, you will be freed from all inauspiciousness (ashubhat — all that is inimical to well-being). This is the complete liberation.
