Bhagavad Gita
6.15

युञ्जन्नेवं सदात्मानं योगी नियतमानसः । शान्तिं निर्वाणपरमां मत्संस्थामधिगच्छति ॥

yuñjannevaṃ sadātmānaṃ yogī niyatamānasaḥ | śāntiṃ nirvāṇaparamāṃ matsaṃsthāmadhigacchati ||

Translation

Thus constantly engaging the self in yoga, the yogi with mind controlled attains the peace culminating in nirvana — which abides in Me.

Interpretation

The fruit of sustained meditation practice: the peace culminating in nirvana — and this nirvana abides in Me (matsamstha). This is a vital phrase. The peace is not the blank void of annihilation but the fullness of abiding in the Divine. Nirvana here means the extinction of the ego's turbulence, not the extinction of existence. The yogi's controlled mind (niyata-manas) achieves through constant (sada) practice what cannot be achieved by occasional effort.
