प्रलपन्विसृजन्गृह्णन्नुन्मिषन्निमिषन्नपि । इन्द्रियाणीन्द्रियार्थेषु वर्तन्त इति धारयन् ॥
pralapanvisṛjangṛhṇannunmiṣannimiṣannapi | indriyāṇīndriyārtheṣu vartanta iti dhārayan ||
Translation
— speaking, releasing, grasping, opening and closing the eyes — holding that the senses move among their objects.
Interpretation
Continuing from verse 8, this completes the description: even in speaking, holding objects, and the simple movement of the eyelids — the yogi maintains the inner awareness: 'The senses are doing what senses do; I am the witness.' This is Sakshi bhava — the attitude of the pure witness. It does not mean inaction or withdrawal; it means full engagement in life while retaining the recognition of one's true identity as the unchanging Self.
