Bhagavad Gita
5.4

साङ्ख्ययोगौ पृथग्बालाः प्रवदन्ति न पण्डिताः । एकमप्यास्थितः सम्यगुभयोर्विन्दते फलम् ॥

sāṅkhyayogau pṛthagbālāḥ pravadanti na paṇḍitāḥ | ekamapyāsthitaḥ samyagubhayorvindate phalam ||

Translation

Only the childish say that Sankhya (knowledge/renunciation) and yoga (action) are different, not the wise. One who is firmly established in even one of them obtains the result of both.

Interpretation

The perceived opposition between the intellectual path (Sankhya/jnana) and the active path (karma yoga) is a confusion seen only by those without deep understanding. Both paths ultimately converge — knowledge without action becomes sterile; action without knowledge becomes mechanical. A sincere practitioner of either path will arrive at the same destination: liberation through the dissolution of the ego.
