तमेव शरणं गच्छ सर्वभावेन भारत | तत्प्रसादात्परां शान्तिं स्थानं प्राप्स्यसि शाश्वतम् ||
tam eva śaraṇaṁ gaccha sarva-bhāvena bhārata tat-prasādāt parāṁ śāntiṁ sthānaṁ prāpsyasi śāśvatam
Translation
Take refuge in Him alone with all your being, O Arjuna. By His grace you shall attain supreme peace and the eternal abode.
Interpretation
The direct personal invitation: 'Take refuge in that One with all your being (sarva-bhavena — with every aspect, every layer, every corner of your being).' Not partial refuge — holding some part back — but total surrender. And by that grace, the two fruits: para shanti (supreme peace — not the temporary relief of problem-solved but the unshakeable peace that passes all understanding) and the shasvata sthana (the eternal abode — the permanent establishment in the highest reality). These are not future rewards but the immediate consequence of genuine, total surrender.
