Interpretation

The consequences of the demoniac worldview: those who hold that there is no truth, no God, no moral order become destroyers. 'Lost souls' — nashtatmanah — those who have lost connection with their own deeper nature. Their intelligence is limited (alpabuddhayah) not in raw cleverness but in wisdom's depth. Their actions are cruel (ugra-karmanah) because without a recognition of the sacred in others, violence comes easily. They are 'enemies of the world' — not in a cartoon villain sense, but in that their attitudes and actions undermine the fabric of life, trust, and meaning that allows flourishing.
