Translation
The light in the sun that illumines the whole world, that which is in the moon, and that which is in fire — know that light to be Mine.
Interpretation
Krishna reveals himself as the light behind all light. The radiance of the sun that illumines every corner of the universe, the silver light of the moon, the warmth and brilliance of fire — all these are expressions of the one Divine luminosity. This is not pantheism (God is everything) but the recognition that all apparent sources of illumination draw their power from the One Source. Physically, this can be understood scientifically (the sun's nuclear reactions, the moon's reflection) but spiritually, every form of light points back to Consciousness itself — the light that makes all perception possible.
