sarva-yoniṣu kaunteya mūrtayaḥ sambhavanti yāḥ tāsāṁ brahma mahad yonir ahaṁ bīja-pradaḥ pitā
Translation
In whatever wombs forms are born, O Arjuna, the great Brahman is their womb; I am the seed-giving father.
Interpretation
This verse universalizes the previous teaching. Whatever species, whatever form, whatever being takes birth in any womb throughout all existence — Prakriti is the mother of all and Krishna is the seed-giving father. This is not a gendered teaching but a cosmic principle: all manifest existence arises from the interplay of consciousness and matter, Spirit and Nature. The same two principles that birth the cosmos birth each individual being.
