इदं ज्ञानमुपाश्रित्य मम साधर्म्यमागताः | सर्गेऽपि नोपजायन्ते प्रलये न व्यथन्ति च ||
idaṁ jñānam upāśritya mama sādharmyam āgatāḥ sarge 'pi nopajāyante pralaye na vyathanti ca
Translation
By taking refuge in this knowledge and having attained union with My nature, they are not born again at the time of creation, nor are they disturbed at the time of dissolution.
Interpretation
Those who truly assimilate this knowledge of the gunas attain identity with the Divine nature — they transcend the cycle of creation and dissolution. At cosmic creation, they do not take birth again; at cosmic dissolution, they are not troubled. This is the ultimate liberation: to stand beyond the rhythmic tides of manifestation. The sage who knows the gunas as observer, not participant, is no longer subject to nature's cycles.
