Translation
For one who sees the Lord equally situated everywhere — that person does not injure the Self by the self, and thereby goes to the supreme goal.
Interpretation
The result of the vision of equality: na hinasty atmanatmanam — 'does not injure the Self by the self.' What does this mean? The lower self (the ego) injures the higher Self through ignorance, desire, and violence. When one sees the Lord equally in all (samam pashyan sarvatra Ishvaram), one no longer commits violence against any being — because every being is the Lord's body. The non-violence is not an ethical rule but the natural fruit of universal vision. And the destination: param gatim — the supreme goal.
