Bhagavad Gita
1.28

सीदन्ति मम गात्राणि मुखं च परिशुष्यति | वेपथुश्च शरीरे मे रोमहर्षश्च जायते ||२८||

sīdanti mama gātrāṇi mukhaṁ cha pariśhuṣhyati vepathuśh cha śharīre me roma-harṣhaśh cha jāyate

Translation

My limbs fail and my mouth is parched; my body quivers and my hair stands on end.

Interpretation

Arjuna describes classic symptoms of acute grief and shock. These are psychosomatic responses — the mind's anguish manifesting in the body. The description is realistic and human; Arjuna is not weak, but he is experiencing the full weight of what war means at a personal level.
