अयनेषु च सर्वेषु यथाभागमवस्थिताः | भीष्ममेवाभिरक्षन्तु भवन्तः सर्व एव हि ||११||
ayaneṣhu cha sarveṣhu yathā-bhāgam avasthitāḥ bhīṣhmam evābhirakṣhantu bhavantaḥ sarva eva hi
Translation
All of you must now give full support to Grandfather Bhishma, while standing at your respective strategic points of entrance into the phalanx of the army.
Interpretation
Duryodhana issues his tactical directive: protect Bhishma above all, for if Bhishma falls, the Kaurava army loses its greatest pillar. His anxiety about the outcome drives him to micromanage his own generals.
