त्यक्त्वा कर्मफलासङ्गं नित्यतृप्तो निराश्रयः | कर्मण्यभिप्रवृत्तोऽपि नैव किञ्चित्करोति सः ||२०||

tyaktvā karma-phalāsaṅgaṁ nitya-tṛpto nirāśhrayaḥ karmaṇy abhipravṛtto'pi naiva kiñchit karoti saḥ

Translation

Abandoning all attachment to the results of his activities, ever satisfied and independent, he performs no fruitive action, although engaged in all kinds of undertakings.

Interpretation

The liberated person acts 'nityatṛpta' — perpetually satisfied (not needing anything from the action's outcome) and 'nirāśhraya' — without dependence on external support. Though fully engaged in activities, they perform 'no fruitive action' — the action generates no binding karma because it is done in freedom.
