अर्जुन उवाच | अथ केन प्रयुक्तोऽयं पापं चरति पूरुषः | अनिच्छन्नपि वार्ष्णेय बलादिव नियोजितः ||३६||
arjuna uvācha atha kena prayukto'yaṁ pāpaṁ charati pūruṣhaḥ anichchhann api vārṣhṇeya balād iva niyojitaḥ
Translation
Arjuna said: O descendant of Vrishni, by what is one impelled to sinful acts, even unwillingly, as if engaged by force?
Interpretation
Arjuna asks a profound practical question: why do people act sinfully even when they don't want to? Even when the intellect knows what is right, something drives the person toward what is wrong. This is not a philosophical question — it is the question of everyday human experience. Krishna's answer names the enemy directly.
