Bhagavad Gita
3.32

ये त्वेतदभ्यसूयन्तो नानुतिष्ठन्ति मे मतम् | सर्वज्ञानविमूढांस्तान्विद्धि नष्टानचेतसः ||३२||

ye tv etad abhyasūyanto nānutiṣhṭhanti me matam sarva-jñāna-vimūḍhāṁs tān viddhi naṣhṭān achetasaḥ

Translation

But those who, out of envy, disregard these teachings and do not follow them regularly, are to be considered bereft of all knowledge, befooled, and ruined in their endeavors for perfection.

Interpretation

The warning about those who resist the teaching out of envy or pride: they are 'sarva-jñāna-vimūḍhā' — confused about all knowledge, and effectively ruined in their spiritual quest. Envy of the teacher is one of the greatest obstacles to learning, because it prevents the student from receiving what the teacher offers.
