Bhagavad Gita
2.8

न हि प्रपश्यामि ममापनुद्याद् यच्छोकमुच्छोषणमिन्द्रियाणाम् | अवाप्य भूमावसपत्नमृद्धं राज्यं सुराणामपि चाधिपत्यम् ||८||

na hi prapaśhyāmi mamāpanudyād yach chhokam uchchoṣhaṇam indriyāṇām avāpya bhūmāv asapatnam ṛddhaṁ rājyaṁ surāṇām api chādhipatyam

Translation

I do not see what could dispel the grief that is withering my senses, even if I were to obtain a prosperous and unrivalled kingdom on earth and dominion over the gods.

Interpretation

Arjuna confesses the depth of his anguish: not even ruling the entire earth or the heavens would ease his grief. This is significant — it means his suffering is not about material loss, but about existential confusion. Only the teaching that goes to the root of existence can help him.
