Bhagavad Gita
2.3

क्लैब्यं मा स्म गमः पार्थ नैतत्त्वय्युपपद्यते | क्षुद्रं हृदयदौर्बल्यं त्यक्त्वोत्तिष्ठ परन्तप ||३||

klaibyaṁ mā sma gamaḥ pārtha naitat tvayy upapadyate kṣhudraṁ hṛdaya-daurbalyaṁ tyaktvottiṣṭha parantapa

Translation

Do not yield to unmanliness, O Partha! It does not befit you. Shake off your faint-heartedness and arise, O scorcher of enemies!

Interpretation

Krishna uses the address 'Parantapa' — scorcher of enemies — almost ironically: the man who has scorched great enemies in battle is now being scorched by his own inner confusion. The command is simple and direct: arise (uttishtha). This word will echo at the end of the Gita: when Arjuna finally understands, he too will rise.
