Bhagavad Gita
2.13

देहिनोऽस्मिन्यथा देहे कौमारं यौवनं जरा | तथा देहान्तरप्राप्तिर्धीरस्तत्र न मुह्यति ||१३||

dehino'smin yathā dehe kaumāraṁ yauvanaṁ jarā tathā dehāntara-prāptir dhīras tatra na muhyati

Translation

Just as the soul passes through childhood, youth, and old age in this body, similarly the soul passes into another body at death. The wise person is not deluded by this.

Interpretation

The body-soul relationship is like the stages of life in one body: just as we don't grieve that childhood ends and youth begins, we should not grieve that the soul moves from one body to another at death. The change is continuous and natural. The soul is the constant; the body is the variable.
