tejaḥ kṣamā dhṛtiḥ śaucam adroho nātimānitā bhavanti sampadaṁ daivīm abhijātasya bhārata
Translation
Vigor, forgiveness, fortitude, purity, freedom from malice, and absence of excessive pride — these belong to one born with divine qualities, O Arjuna.
Interpretation
The divine qualities conclude with: vigor/splendor (tejas — the natural radiance of a spiritually pure life), forgiveness (kshama — the greatest strength), fortitude (dhriti — steady resolve that doesn't collapse under pressure), purity (shaucha — cleanliness of body and mind), freedom from malice (adroha — no envy or hatred), and freedom from excessive pride (natimanita — the humility that comes from knowing oneself as instrument of something greater). Together, these 26 divine qualities represent the fully integrated spiritual character. Born with these — not necessarily by birth but by inner orientation — one is on the path to liberation.
